The laboratory offers analyzes and services for industrial partners, schools and academic institutions.
Laboratory analyses:
- Qualitative phase analysis (which phases the sample is composed of).
- Quantitative phase analysis (proportional of individual phases and their microstructural parameters, e.g. dislocation density).
- Macroscopic residual stress analysis.
- Preferred orientation (texture) analysis.
- Thin film thickness analysis.
- In-situ X-ray diffraction study up to 2300°C.
We are equipped with devices for defined gradual electrolytic removal of surface layers, which enables us to study the depth courses of structurally sensitive characteristics.
We analyze:
- laboratory samples,
- real samples up to a weight of tens of kilograms,
- thin layers,
- powders,
- liquid samples.
Analyzes in the field:
- Macroscopic residual stress analysis.
- Proportion of retained austenite.
We are also able to perform analyses in the field using a mobile diffractometer.
